The Dream Academy of St. Landry: Smart Flag Football Program

The Dream Academy of St. Landry is a non-profit that helps students grow through sports, technology, and education. We seek funds to support our Smart Flag Football Program that integrates IoT (Internet of Things) technology to track player performance, ensure safety, and teach STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) skills. Players will wear smart devices that collect speed, movement, and health data, providing real-time insights to improve their game and learn about sports technology.

· Technology & Equipment: Smart wearables, IoT-connected footballs, video analysis tools, and mobile apps.
· Personnel: Coaches, STEM educators, and athletic trainers.

· High Truancy Rates: St. Landry Parish reported a 49% truancy rate (2020-21). Our program keeps students engaged, increasing attendance.
· Economic Barriers: 54% of students come from disadvantaged backgrounds. We provide free access to sports & STEM learning.
· STEM Education Gaps: Schools need more hands-on STEM experience. Our program fills this gap by integrating technology into sports.
